American Marketing Association Toronto Chapter   “Brand as a Business System: A Guide to Successful Marketplace Performance”

This roundtable will explore, using live examples and research, how companies that stake their future on the value of their brand win, time and time again. From the CMO to the CFO, recognition of the intangible asset value of the company’s brand can drive how operations and customer service make a difference.

A holistic approach of brand driving the business system has become one of the hottest growth strategies for category leaders. It has also given birth to a whole new category of brand advisory or consulting; marketing strategy doesn’t start with marketing communications planning anymore. Applications in financial services, telecommunications, government services, retail, even loyalty marketing are proving the point. Our panel will have case study examples to share with the audience.

Subjects to be covered will include measurement of true brand value, best practices in integrating brand into delivery to the customer, competitive benefit management and tracking. Our panel of experts have lived and breathed this idea; two third party panellists will question the concept to keep the discussion edgy and balanced.

Panel of brand marketers, consultants and educator:
• Canada Post - Kathy Haley, Former Vice-President of Marketing
• Hotspex Inc. - Ted Langschmidt, Executive Vice-President
• MABE / GE Appliances Canada - Philippe Meyersohn, General Manager, Marketing and Training
• Rogers Wireless - Stacey Grant-Thompson, Vice-President Strategic Projects, Rogers Communications
• Brand Finance Canada - Andrew Zimakas, Managing Director
