Small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs) are an important engine of the Canadian economy; 32% of employed Canadians work in a small business (those with fewer than 50 employees) and 24% work in a mid-sized business (those with 50-500 employees). Moreover, their importance is increasing; this 56% share of total employment represents a sizeable increase from its 49% level twenty years ago.

Advances in information and communication technology are making tools that were previously used only by large firms accessible and affordable for SMBs. This is particularly true in the field of sales and marketing. AMA Toronto is pleased to provide you with this valuable opportunity to learn how you can leverage these tools to grow your business and increase profitability – without the need for additional IT support.

Event Format:

This half-day event will offer a blend of informative presentations, interactive discussion and targeted networking. There will also be a panel discussion moderated by a representative from the Globe and Mail’s small business department showcasing SMB marketing success stories. Specific topics will include:

•Raise your profile – Learn how to leverage the internet to raise overall awareness of your business
•Prospecting - Learn how to use direct marketing – mail, email and other campaign tactics – to continuously generate leads
•Conversion – discover new ways to turn leads into sales with more rigorous and measurable follow-up

Who Should Attend:

This event is geared specifically toward owners and heads of marketing from businesses with 25-100 employees. While all are welcome, the material will be most relevant to firms serving B2B clients.
